Weston is a quiet, strictly residential community situated in central Fairfield County, a rustic community of rolling hills and ponds and wooded forests. One aspect that makes this town particularly attractive to the more affluent home buyer is the zoning restriction that allows for two-acre, single family residences only.
There are no commercial districts in Weston. Many of the town's residents shop and dine in nearby Westport or Wilton. However, at the center of Weston is a quaint redbrick assortment of Colonial style shops including a pharmacy, deli and a small market. Across the street is the town hall, school complex and some churches.
On the eastern edge of the Devil's Den Preserve, the largest sanctuary of the Connecticut chapter of the Nature Conservancy, is the pristine, evergreen shaded shoreline of the Saugatuck Reservoir, a popular spot for fishing.
